Jenny & Adam [8.29.2015]

You know that feeling when everything falls into place and just feels right? This wedding was that feeling for me.

Before this wedding I knew I was a photographer. And I knew I could do weddings. But I also thought I could do newborns and families and nature...I hadn't really felt a need to specialize or only do one.

But everything changed when I photographed this wedding. From the moment I saw Jenny in her gorgeous wedding gown emerging from the Oquirrh Mountain temple with the love of her life I just knew I had to capture these moments forever and for everyone [okay, so I know that's a bit ambitious, but seriously, I want to take pictures at every wedding in the world.]

The day was perfect. I teared up a little as they gave their speeches and I was able to hear the love in their voices as they talked about how long they had waited to find each other. Those are the moments that make everything worth it -- the moments I live to capture. The moments when I forget about everything crazy and hard in the world, because for one little minute I get to be a tiny part of someone else's happily-ever-after.

I'm seriously addicted to happily-ever-afters.

John & Nicole [9.12.15]

My favorite part about being a Wedding Photographer is getting to know all of the amazing couples. And, usually, amazing couples have amazing families and getting to know them too is a definite perk.

Nicole and John are so much fun and so perfect for each other! Throughout the entire process, Nicole was very organized and clear when we communicated. She is punctual and dependable, yet totally and completely relaxed [just a sidenote: she has an amazing small business http://utahmakes.com/-- you should check it out!] John was late, and I came to find out that being late is a big part of what makes John, John. It was so fun to hear the stories about them and to get to know them. It was very clear the whole time that they each had exactly what the other needed.

And their families! My goodness! They were the nicest people I've ever met. Hearing Nicole's sister talk about her makes me so thankful I have a sister [and it also makes me want a sister for my daughter--but that's a different post for a different time! haha]

Ahhh! I just LOVE weddings so much!
